Would I need my parents'/guardians' permission to join the armed forces? Print E-mail

If you're under 18 then at least one parent/guardian would need to sign your application form for you to start the selection process.  They would then have to sign another form at the end of the selection process giving you permission to join up.

If you're 18 or over you wouldn't need your parents'/guardians' permission. However, it is a good idea for your parents to come with you every time you visit the recruitment office - they can help you to ask the right questions and ask a few of their own. If you don't want your parents with you then take another adult you trust.
