• Heavy workload for some
• Poor quality accommodation
• Strain on family and social life
• Losing annual leave because of operations and exercises
• Not being involved in decisions that affect them
• Not being paid enough
• Finding it difficult to complain
• Not being able to leave the forces for a long time
