The brochures and DVD about army jobs are designed to promote an army career, so they are not going to tell you the down-sides - take care! They don't lie but they do sometimes give misleading information or they don't mention things that you need to know. They are vague about the minimum four years' service you would have to give; they don't mention any of the problems of army life; and they give the impression that all soldiers enjoy their jobs, which is not true.
