Soldiers' satisfaction with army life in general - results from the government's own survey, 2011:

Satisfied: 57%
Dissatisfied: 19%
Neither satisfied nor dissatisfied: 23%

This means that you are more likely to enjoy being a soldier than not enjoy being a soldier. However, job satisfaction is not quite as high in the army as it is in civilian life: a survey of civilians (in 2009) showed that 65% were satisfied with their work. There are also many dissatisfied people in the army who can't leave because of their contract; they feel trapped in a bad situation.
