The not-very-helpful answer is that it all depends on your situation... you can find all the detailed rules and restrictions in the Guidance Notes for the application form on the Ministry of Defence website.  This covers:

  • Height, weight and body mass restrictions
  • Medical and mental health problems
  • Temporary conditions such as pregnancy
  • Citizenship
  • Spent and unspent criminal convictions
  • Tattoos and body piercing
