Would the RAF help me to get qualifications? Print E-mail

There would be some help available ranging from basic skills training (English and Maths) to NVQs and in some cases college degrees, although opportunities for these are more limited.

In 2008, an official survey showed that just over a third (39%) of RAF recruits thought they had good opportunities to gain educational qualifications, and about a fifth (21%) said they were dissatisfied with the opportunities available.

Important: You might have to agree to stay for up to five years longer in the RAF if you took a training course as part of your work (apart from initial training).
