According to the most recent official survey in 2009, 58% of airmen/women said they were satisfied with life in the RAF, 18% were dissatisfied and 23% were neither satisfied nor dissatisfied. This means that you are more likely to enjoy being an airmen/woman than not enjoy it, on average. However, job satisfaction is not quite as high in the RAF as in civilian life: a survey of civilians in 2009 found that 65% are satisfied with their work. There are also many dissatisfied people in the RAF who can't leave because of their contract; they feel trapped in a bad situation.
